Coat & Clothing Drive for Afghan Refugees
Afghan refugee families were evacuated with little more than a single bag. There are 11,000 refugees (approx 4,500 kids and 6,500 adults) now living on US military bases, but the government cannot not get winter clothing to them until February. Let’s give share some warmth and love with them this holiday season.
Zion has partnered with Women for Afghan Women, Commonpoint Queens, and Taking Action Douglaston to provide winter clothing for refugees.
